Vungle is a mobile video advertising platform now operating as Liftoff Monetize, the publisher monetization side of the Liftoff ecosystem. After Liftoff‘s acquisition of Vungle in 2021, the platform unified into a combined supply exchange (Vungle Exchange), SDK-based publisher monetization, and advertiser access to premium in-app video inventory.
On the advertiser side, Vungle provides access to in-app video inventory through direct publisher SDK integrations. On the publisher side, it offers monetization tools for app developers generating revenue from their user base through rewarded and interstitial video.
Ad formats
Vungle specializes in mobile video. Rewarded video lets users opt in to watch an ad in exchange for an in-app reward, producing high completion rates and self-selected engagement. Playable ads let users interact with a sample of the advertised app before installing. This improves downstream retention and lifetime value compared to passive video. Interstitial video appears at natural break points within the app session.
Creative Labs, Vungle’s in-house creative unit, produces dynamic end cards and playable ad assets for advertisers who don’t have dedicated mobile creative resources.
Technical delivery
Vungle’s SDK is built for high-definition, device-optimized video rendering. In-app bidding is supported across all formats, connecting publisher supply to real-time auction demand simultaneously rather than through sequential configurations. CPI and CPM payout models are both available.
Liftoff ecosystem
As part of Liftoff, Vungle Exchange serves as the supply-side infrastructure connecting publisher inventory with Liftoff’s DSP and third-party buyers. Advertisers using Liftoff for user acquisition access Vungle’s publisher network directly. Publishers, on the other side, can achieve monetization with Vungle SDK access demand from both sides simultaneously.
